Trafalgar Square Canada Day Celebration

The neatest thing happened today - when we went to Regent Street to pick up our London Passes and what did we get told? To join the Canada Day Celebration occurring at Trafalgar Square. They were recording an episode of the Ball Hockey Challenge - it was pretty fun! They had a few pavillions and they were selling Sleemans honey brown. We didn't stay long, as we weren't familiar with the performers who were going to be singing.

We had dinner at a pub - our first of many I'm sure. The Restaurant was The Lord Moon of the Mall. We had fish and chips and Matt had Chicken and Sam had Chips with Cheese.

They were serving Tim Horton's coffee if you can believe it!

they also had a store that served Tim's-like drinks and snacks, but honestly, the boston cream didn't look very appealing... And i didn't try the coffee.
take a look...

Finally Mat and I enjoyed our first Marstons Pedigree Ale - it was so lovely.

here we are enjoying our first pint! (only had one because with so little sleep we needed to be able to find our way back home on the tub...plus we also have to take a double-decker bus to our apartement by the dock.

Had a great day - now the kids are watching the train wreck known as Lady Gaga at Glastonbury... wow, that's all I can say. We are ALL looking forward to having a big sleep because it's so blooming hot here and no places have air conditioning we're going to be very hot if it doesn't cool down soon. So Good Night all - we'll have another adventure tomorrow!!!

  1. It sounds like the start of your adventure is going well even on little sleep. The first pub fare sounded delicious!!! Can't wait to hear what you are up to next!
